My name is Alina.

I am the creator of Eyelina Eyelash Clinic in Cork and I have developed my own unique training programme “Eyelash Artist in 30 days”. I use this proven method to train girls without beauty experience to become self-employed Eyelash Artists.

 When I was a child I never dreamed of becoming an Eyelash Artist. This profession didn't even exist back then! In the 90s (yes, I am only young in heart!) all we knew was  mascara and thin eyebrows, wait.. was there blue eyeshadow too? :)

 Throughout my teens I was interested in fashion, nails, hair, make-up etc. I was not allowed to wear make-up and had to secretly put it on after leaving the house, sorry mom! 

When I was 18 I decided to come to Ireland and it seemed like a great adventure! I started to work in a small shop, but it didn’t last for long. I didn’t like mopping floors or stocking shelves. While I was on the deli counter my sandwiches were so bad that they even got refused by hungry builders! Later I worked for Tesco and SuperValu, I didn’t love the work but it paid my bills. I remember looking at older colleagues, working there for over 20 years and thinking this is not the life I want.. I had no idea what I really wanted to do. 

 After 12 months in retail I decided to study Travel and Tourism in order to get a profession. I started  working at Cork Airport as check-in staff. I enjoyed my job for the first few years, but I knew that the  routine was killing me. I wanted to work for myself and I could only dream of taking days off when it suited me and holidays were hard to book too.

 I had always been interested in beauty and I had started to do different beauty courses, initially for my own knowledge. I have studied make-up, facials, nails, spray tan, eyebrows and eyelashes. I was doing eyelashes,nails and spray tan at the start, soon I realised that eyelashes give me the most enjoyment. I felt relaxed and fulfilled after each set, like after meditation.  Every eyelash set is an art project to me, I enjoy the quiet time and atmosphere. I started feeling unique and valued instead of being just a number in the bigger  companies. 

My first eyelash course was only one day of quick training  and I had to figure out everything myself afterwards. I had to do my research on YouTube, Google and  Facebook, there was a lot of information but it didn’t make sense. 

 I wished there was someone there to help and answer all my questions!  My eyelash sets were not as good as I wanted them to be, I realised the technique is the problem. I knew something was missing and started taking course after course. I began travelling the world to visit the best trainers. I have spent a lot of money and time on testing different products/ techniques and methods and now, through years and through tears I have developed my own proven techniques.

 I wouldn't like anyone to experience the frustration I have experienced on my journey. This is why I have developed my own unique course online. I will show you the correct techniques, I will be there at every step to answer your questions and I will guide you on your journey to becoming an Eyelash Artist.
